School Library

The term library is based on the Latin word “liber” for “book” or “document” containing a Latin word ‘Libraria’ collection of books. A library is a collection of material, books or Media that are accessible for use and not just for display purposes.

The library provides physical (hard copies) or digital access (soft copies) materials, it is a physical location and access to information.

The library building provides quiet areas of studying as well as common areas for group study and collaboration services offered by a library are variously described as library services and information services.
